I really wasn’t sure we’d ever go international again. Our one year in Shanghai turned into 4. It was pretty amazing and I wouldn’t change it for the world. We returned to the US in 2014…and here we are…5 years later.
GERMANY
Wow. Just wow. I am totally in awe of our opportunities. So once I got over that…on to the how is the world is this gonna happen! It’s been a few days since it all came together. I really wasn’t sure it was EVER going to come together. We had a hard time waiting on the German Visa, but it came through…January 2nd. At which point we got tickets for Germany…for January 10th!! (insert scream face)
8 days. That’s how long we had to wrap things up.
So many people I didn’t get to see. So many ‘lasts’ that we didn’t get to. But I like to focus on all the people I DID see and happened to run into! (That part was cool)
So get to the fun part already…PICTURES! Oh the pictures to share. I will only say this once (who am I kidding..I’m a mom..), but I will be respectful of my daughters’ choices to have or not have their pictures published. So if you don’t see one of my girlies…it’s not because I’m playing favorites. Much.

So getting here wasn’t too bad! 2 hours to Atlanta and then a 9 hour flight to Dusseldorf. 9 checked bags + carseat + waayyy too many carry-ons. When we landed, all I could think was that if we were going to China, we would still have four hours left! Makes 9 feel like a breeze. The girls are definitely bigger than when we last flew internationally. They can’t stretch out in the seat to sleep the way they used to. The first night in Germany, I think we all slept about 13-14 hours. The exhaustion was just unbelievable.
So I’m kinda getting the hang of this blogging thing again. It’s a little different from my days when I blogged in China. Thanks for joining us. I plan on changing up the look of this thing, so come on back!
